Designers Celebrate Year with Project Tour

At JH Interior Design our interior designers work hard all year in client meetings, sourcing products, collaborating with vendors, helping with installations, and all the things that go into designing for residential and commercial interiors. A few years ago owner Julie Hockney started a tradition to celebrate their hard work with an end-of-the-year Project Tour. Julie and Rachael Cavanaugh, JH’s vice president, comb through the year’s projects and pick a variety, both residential and commercial, they want the entire team to see in person.

Enter a party bus, a rockin’ play list and a route only a few people knew, and it turns into a day of bonding, humble bragging and overall team pride in what JH Interior Design has been able to accomplish in 12 months. As a special surprise addition, Julie flew in our design staff from Steamboat to join the tour.

This year’s Project Tour started close by with lunch at Little King on 85th and Dodge Street. The JH staff, accounting and marketing teams included, were treated to lunch at their first stop. They admired the standout green tile designer Breanna Cortinas selected as well as enjoying their sub sandwiches.

Next stop was another commercial project nearby on Regency Parkway. Called Clarkson Regional Health Services, designer Molly was able to show the team around.

While they were in the building, the team paid a visit to Cushman & Wakefield to visit with longtime JH Interior Design client (and JH’s dad) John Lund. He was thrilled with the surprise.

The afternoon consisted of stops at The Collective Co-Working Space in Regency Landing as well as a few more residential visits, some of which we’ve photographed and some of which we’re excited to feature with professional photography later this year.

The day culminated appropriately at dusk with a breathtaking residential project at Valley’s Bluewater Lake.

While we were thrilled to get to enjoy this day together to celebrate 2023, we are even more excited to welcome our 2024 projects. Follow along on Instagram or Facebook to learn more, and call us if you need assistance.
