Nicole Stanford

Nicole’s love of design came from growing up in California where her dad was a home appraiser. She often got to tag along and experience a wide array of home styles and design at a young age. Now as a designer, she relishes the joy and positive impact a thoughtfully designed space can bring to people’s lives.

Nicole enjoys decorating her own home, a 100-year-old Tudor that she shares with her two wiener dogs, Rocky and Benny. Fabrics and textiles are huge sources of inspiration for Nicole in her design work. She especially enjoys the early access to new materials designers get. “We constantly see a wider variety than what’s typically available to the mainstream or shown by an algorithm!” That exposure keeps her work fresh and layered.

Outside of design, you’ll usually find Nicole traveling (but never camping!), savoring great food, or sinking into a patio chair with a drink in hand.

What do you drink in the morning?
Hot black coffee – always hot. I can’t stand lukewarm coffee.

If you weren’t a designer, what would you be?
I would be a snorkeling instructor! Just try to keep me out of waters with a lot of sharks.
